A home brewing aficionado for several years, Derek M., from California, loves the comradery that it provides. “Making something at home that involves you really putting time and thought into it is pretty special,” he says. The Perfect Blend

Derek first tried home brewing with a kit, designed for beginners. “I liked the results okay, but once I started using individual ingredients from the local home brew shop, plus my aging barrel from DSB, that’s when the flavor really came out. I made a seasonal ale this past Christmas that everyone loved.”

Derek says that he was able to create a space in his garage for his home brew equipment, including a refrigerator specifically for his beer. “My kitchen is pretty small so I pretty much had to get a bigger space elsewhere.”
