Our high-quality, small oak barrels are made of pure American white oak and are guaranteed to age your spirits to smoother, richer-flavored versions of themselves in just a few short weeks. Our 3L oak barrel makes the perfect gift and is one of the few home bar accessories that the liquor enthusiast isn’t likely to already have! The 3L barrel is a great size for the buyer who wants to get the best mix of flavor and value.
On a fun side note, this is Miranda (our General Manager) Knerr’s favorite size barrel to age her tequila in. She finds the size of this barrel on her counter is a nice size and loves the average aging time of 3-4 weeks perfect for her as she is not a daily drinker so it gives her more time between batches.
The longer whiskey, tequila, and other spirits are aged in the barrel, the more the impurities in the alcohol are released. Once it’s bottled, the aging process stops. Wine, on the other hand, continues to age even after bottling. Use your barrel for aging again and again, because its contents will pick up the flavors of the oak and whatever you aged in it before.
